Probably getting tired. I feel that I haven’t done much with my day and this awful tiredness overwhelms me.

Gastrointestinal problems. For years and years, i have had all sorts of painful cramping , stomach aches and just problems going to the bathroom . I must have been to a dozen specialist, taken dozens of test trying to find out what was wrong. Family would dismiss it as stress. Doctors would have no good answers. It wasn't until i was looking through SMA forums about two years ago that i stumbled upon it being associated with SMA. All these years, not i single doctor told anyone that this was a common issue. My whole life i went through thinking that my stomach cramping was due to either dietary issues cutting out all sorts of foods or wondering if it was all in my head. The fact of the matter is...only a handful of doctors and researchers really have any clue about SMA...the rest are all just guessing .

I agree Roddy. The fatigue is disappointing. It is very different to fatigue from being busy in a normal person. Frustrating when I haven’t finished doing what I am doing and I have to go and rest.

Fatigue is bad, get you down, mainly right leg weakness but spreading, have to be positive, anxiety another annoyance but trying to get used to
