I Have Sma Type 3. Do Normal Things Is Hard For Me. I Live By Myself. Does Anyone How I Can Get A Full Time Aide Without The High Cost
Bad news I am afraid. The current medical system is such that if you can not afford attendant care with private pay, you must be financially destitute and 'endanger of being placed in nursing home' or more likely, already in state run nursing home for months. The waiting list is lengthy and someone generally has to die to move up on list. DDA (Developmental Disabilities Agency) or your local Department of Aging might be able to help with some short term attendant care if financially qualify (less than two thousand dollars in assets). Alternatively, can get lucky with a church or charity, but I had no such luck. Rules do very state by state. From what I have heard, California is the best regarding attendant care.
Find a spouse that loves you and can help with caregiving
OK, but so you have medicade? Or move to California loool. I moved to S. America so I could afford caregiving, pt, cooks, gardeners and good weather.
i live in maryland, city is california
do you have California medicate? they help with caregiving costs..also you live in California which has more services for disabled than all the other states, so you lucky there. The other good idea is to get a wife that loves you and will help with your needs. :)
