Hello @A mySMAteam Member! I'm not a doctor, but it seems like your experience with shortness of breath after hip surgery could be related to your scoliosis and changes in your posture or positioning. It's essential to consult with a medical professional who can assess your situation and provide accurate advice. They can consider factors like spine alignment and any underlying conditions.
In the meantime, you could try different positions while lying down or sitting to see if it helps. Deep breathing exercises and maintaining good posture when sitting may also relieve some relief.
Remember, reaching out to others on the SMA site who may have similar experiences is great, but always consult a healthcare professional for personalized guidance. Take care!
It scares me that I did not feel shortness of breath before the surgery. Why did shortness of breath appear until after the surgery?
