What's The Worst Age For SMA1
It can be heartbreaking to remember what was as we deal with what is and the fear of what the future might hold. Love support and hope is sometimes all we have. I’m comforted with knowing I did the best I could.
Later in years. My twin brothers dealt with this all their lives. Stan is still with us at 76. It started in their feet and continues to work its way upward through their bodies. As kids they did everything everyone else did: kickball, baseball, football, bicycles, skateboards... just like all our friends. Mom and Dad let them participate in whatever they wanted. Things got too rough after 10th grade, so they went to homeschooling. The scholl was very large and they had a bounce to their scissor gate. Back then we had lockers. Too much knocking into or being knocked into unintentionally. I am 15months younger; therefore, we continued on. My first car was a 2 door hatchback. We'd throw the chair in the back and off We'd go. Steve would ride and Stan would balance by pushing it.
Why is it so hard in the 70s? We're returning to the infantile state. Mom and Dad and Steve died. Now it's just Stan and me and our part time caregiver. His speech is hard to understand. Just the sheer knowledge of what was and what is can be difficult. We do our best to maintain a loving and supportive environment with those that care❣️
