Whoa! 80 years - that is fantastic. I'm 54 and recently diagnosed type 3B. I did genetic testing through my neurologist.

I had to be referred to a neurologist when I was suspected of a muscular problem. I was 9 years old. (1993) Prayers.❤️

My days are quite normal. I had two falls in December 2022 so I have a balance therapy therapist twice a week. I think I am a type 4 sma. I have not been definitively diagnosed yet. Can any clinic do a blood test for sma dna or does it need to be a specialized clinic? Jains
