Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT)

A mySMAteam Member asked a question πŸ’
Lyon, France

Hi, does someone in the team has an idea about ataxia telangiectasia. It’s a rare neuro degenerative disease and not curable for the moment. I would like to know if there are any studies or tests in course. I’m personally following a young bit from Vietnam since 7 years. He 14 now. When I first saw him he was running and enjoying. Today he’s bed ridden and needs assistance for everything. Thank you

A mySMAteam Member asked a question πŸ’
Madison, WI

My son is almost 23 and an SMA Type 1. He has not wanted to do the spinraza but we are interested in the at home drug but not sure if people his age have taken it and what the outcomes have been. Any info would be much appreciated!

A mySMAteam Member

I've been on Spinraza since 2018. I feel it's the best for me. But you should ask the neurologist. Even seek out a second opinion. I'm sure this wasn't the answer you were looking for.

We previously had a r82 Flamingo, but are looking for something with more padding under the bum as the Flamingo is not comfortable enough. I'd like something that can roll over a toilet, but also be used with a pot. Thx! :)

My Dynavox is almost like an IPAD & I access it by tapping a little switch & it scans through buttons until I select the button that I want. Here's a photo of me with my Dynavox πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
