Dr. Jonathan Strober earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and completed a residency in pediatrics at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in child neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in neuromuscular disorders at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Strober is board-certified in neurology with a special qualification in child neurology. He also has advanced training in electromyography, which is used to evaluate people with suspected neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Strober is the director of child neurology services at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Neuromuscular Clinic, which is sponsored by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Dr. Strober conducts research on potential new therapies for children with neuromuscular and mitochondrial disorders. Dr. Strober is the author of numerous journal articles studying spinal muscular atrophy and other neuromuscular and neurological conditions.
